The Gaggia Classic Pro E24 is a premium entry-level espresso machine designed to please novice home baristas and veteran brewers alike. Designed and built entirely in Italy, the Classic Pro E24 is made from commercial-grade components, including a one-piece steel frame, a 3-way solenoid valve, a 58mm portafilter and group head, a professional steam wand, and an all-new brass boiler, for improved capacity and performance.
The Gaggia Classic has long been a favorite amongst espresso enthusiasts for its commercial-grade build quality and affordable price. The 9-bar OPV, 3-way solenoid valve, and brass group head mean the Classic is capable of brewing espresso to Specialty Coffee Association standards; and, the commercial steam wand is fully capable of frothing cafe-quality microfoam for lattes and cappuccinos.
Build quality was front of mind during the design of this single-boiler espresso machine. The polished steel group cover won’t peel or flake over time, and the 58mm portafilter—once chrome plated brass—is now pure, stainless steel, which better matches the group cover aesthetically and won’t chip or scratch with use. Thanks to a redesigned internal foundation that helps to dampen noise from the vibratory pump, the machine is quieter than ever.
The Pro E24 takes the successes of the Classic and builds on them by adding a brass boiler. This update improves the thermal stability of the machine—brass has more mass than aluminum, so it keeps its temperature more consistently. The brass boiler also has an increased internal capacity compared to the original, which means more steam power and the ability to brew more drinks consecutively.
A long awaited update, the commercial steam wand gives you full control over milk frothing. The Classic Pro's impressive steam power allows you to produce perfectly textured milk for latte art.
The Classic Pro's control panel has been split up into three switches for power, brewing, and steaming. Each switch has its own indicator light to tell you when the machine is on, ready to brew, and ready to steam.
The stainless frame has been redesigned to make it easier to remove the water reservoir. Additionally, the drip tray and surrounding frame have been streamlined for a more seamless look.
Better mounting of the vibration pump has reduced the amount of noise produced while brewing. As a result, the Classic Pro produces the same excellent espresso as before, but quieter than ever.
